Homesource to Launch Collection for Specialty Retailers
December 10, 2002
Atlanta, Ga. (USA) – A U.S-based sourcing company is offering a new collection to North American home textile retailers beginning in the second quarter of 2003. In January, at gift shows in Dallas and Atlanta, Homesource International will unveil Home & Harmony, which contains bed and bath products.
Eventually, Homesource will offer four lines to independent retail stores in the United States and Canada that cater to the better consumer.
"It gives independent specialty retailers an opportunity to purchase some of the most unique innovative products that we buy, source or develop throughout the world," said Homesource International president and founder Keith Sorgeloos. "These are products that we are building throughout the world. We're using the world as our oyster to develop products from China to India to South America to Eastern Europe."
Sorgeloos said the collection is geared to retailers who lack the resources or connections to develop their own unique lines.
"We're offering some of the finest products to a portion of the trade that is overlooked. Usually they have difficulty getting service from the big guys and they don't have the buying clout to import product from various countries throughout the world individually. So collectively, we're going to do it for them," he said.
Home & Harmony is driven by a design and development team based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company has involved eight sales organizations with showrooms in key American and Canadian cities, including Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Cleveland, New York City and Toronto. Twenty-five independent sales representatives will buttress the effort.
Entering its fourth year, Homesource International is a service company that works with manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. "We have developed and sourced very unique product that has enabled our business to grow substantially," Sorgeloos said.F&FI
