Hilb Completes Heritage Purchase
January 22, 2003
New York – Thomas Hilb has acquired Heritage House Fabrics Inc., a home furnishings fabric converter from Jeffrey Goldman and Jeffrey Erdheim, two of the original owners.
Goldman and Erdheim are also the principals of Jeffrey Fabrics, a down printer and converter of bedding fabrics. They will continue to run this business as a separate entity.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for me to own Heritage," Hilb said. "I couldn't have done it without the support of the two Jeffreys these past few years.''
Heritage, like Jeffrey Fabrics, is based at 261 Fifth Avenue, New York with a warehouse in Concord, N.C.
The purchase price of the transaction was not disclosed but it is understood that Heritage is doing sales in the range of $5 million after three years in business.
Hilb has 33 years of experience in the fabric converting business including sales and marketing posts with Richloom, Western textiles, Fabricut and a family business. F&FI
