HIGH POINT, North Carolina – Attendees of the spring edition of the semi-annual High Point Market, which hosts home textiles exhibitors like Algemene USA, American Century Home Fabrics, Covington Fabric & Design, Cone Jacquards and many others, will see a significant drop in hotel room rates at their favorite properties around the market, in addition to discounts in rental car fees at participating companies.

Room rates at area hotels have dropped 15 to 25 percent for the spring market week, which is set for April 25 to 30, according to the High Point Market Authority.

According to Brian D. Casey, president and chief executive officer of the High Point Market Authority, the reductions are part of a new hotel partner program whereby those hotels with reduced rates and/or reduced minimum-stay requirements will be listed on the Market website.

In addition to the already announced hotel discounts being offered at the High Point Market, the Market Authority has also partnered with rental car companies to offer discounted rates for attendees reserving cars early.

Enterprise, Budget and Thrifty are offering discounts for those who enter a special reservation code when booking their rental cars. Casey said, ''We're continually working to make a trip to the High Point Market as affordable as possible for retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and sales representatives.''
