HTSE Opens Arms to Egypt, Brings 11 Companies to Exhibit

NEW YORK, New York -- The Home Textile Sourcing Expo is opening its arms to 11 Egyptian companies who will be exhibiting as representatives of the Egyptian Home Textile Council. The expo is scheduled to take place at the Javits Center from July 19 - 21 in conjuction with Texworld USA, the largest apparel fabrics show in North America.
HTSE is also incorporating into its seminars a lecture led by Dr. Ashraf El Rabiey, head of the Egyptian trade office. He will be discussing ways to source duty-free textiles from Egypt. The expo is organizing it in conjuction with Lenzing Fibers and hopes to spread an awareness of the impact Egypt's current economic and political situatuin is having upon its textile industry for the domestic and export business.
"We are all very happy with the continuous increase in U.S. imports of home textiles and clothing since the revolution as well as the execution of all shipments on time," said El Rabiey. "This is the first trade show in New York that Egypt is participating in since the revolution and we are all very excited and keen on making it a success.”
