HD Asia to Premiere Summer 2005
October 13, 2004
SOUTH BEACH, Florida – VNU Expositions and Hospitality Design Magazine will debut a new exhibition and conference next June 22 and 23 at the Hong Kong Convention Center in China. HD Asia, with its focus on hospitality design, will target interior designers, architects, developers, owner/operators, purchasers, specifiers, suppliers, and consultants in the field.
"Why Hong Kong?" According to Michelle Finn, vice president of the HD Group, Hong Kong was chosen because it is "strategically located in the heart of Asia. Hong Kong is among the top five foreign exchange markets and among the top 10 merchandise trading economies. Its sustained growth and rich corporate presence, more than 2,000 multinational companies have regional headquarters or offices there, make it a natural hub for global business."
Hong Kong is an exciting, burgeoning market for hospitality design - business opportunities ranging from state-of-the-art spas in Singapore to new-build casinos in Macao," Finn says. The show will highlight "the potential of projects from renovating 14,000+ five-star hotel rooms in Hong Kong to Olympic development in Beijing."
HD Asia will focus on trends, products, and industry evolution.
"We are hoping for 1,000 attendees and believe that the show will take place in some 2000 sq. meters of space," says Finn.
