NEW YORK-- P/Kaufmann has confirmed its acquisition of Golding Fabrics, a converting company based in Archdale, NC on May 30 from Linda and Graham Buckner.   

“P/Kaufmann’s primary contribution will be financial support and there are no changes to Golding’s sales force, order department or warehouse location,” says Lance Garcy, President of P/Kaufmann Fabrics, also a converter.  “Both Graham and Linda Buckner will remain actively involved in Golding Fabrics as President and Vice President of Marketing, respectively, managing the firm from their High Point offices,” Garcy confirms.

It is understood that Golding has sales in the $10 million range, mostly with upholstered furniture manufacturers but this could not be confirmed.

“We are looking forward to the continued development and growth of Golding Fabrics,” Garcy added.

The Buckners could not be reached for comment.

P/Kaufmann has a history of making successful strategic acquisitions in the textiles industry, each time increasing its share of the market by adding new accounts with the newly acquired business.
