Gelb, Home Fabrics MD Passes

Julian Frank Gelb died in his native Ontario, Canada August 17 after a two year battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held at Steeles Funeral Parlor on August 18.
Gelb was a well known player in the global home fabrics industry and purchased Home Fabrics in 2008 with a group based in Midrand, South Africa.
Later, the company was acquired by Bru Textiles as a captive fabric distributor in South Africa with Gelb continuing as MD.
Julian loved a good joke and was a terrific competitor both on as well as off the golf course.
He is survived by his wife Thelma; a son Wayne and a daughter Melanie.
