Fausto Radici: Owner of Radici Group

April 19, 2002

The body of Fausto Radici was found in a wood warehouse near Bergamo. He apparently committed suicide.

Radici was manager and owner of Radici Group. The group, considered one of the most important Italian industrial groups, produces floorcovering, carpets and upholstery, and has factories in Italy, and East Europe and America.

While the precise reason for his suicide is unknown, people close to him theorize that he suffered a bout of depression, triggered perhaps by the collapse of the Argentinian market in which the company had recently made a large investment.

Radici became famous in Italy during the ''''70s for winning gold medals as skydiving champion for the national Olympic team.
