May 8, 2006
NEW YORK, New York — F. Schumacher & Co. has announced that Blue Mountain Wallcoverings entered into a long-term licensing agreement to manufacture wallpaper under the Gramercy®, Waverly® and Village® brands.
The agreement, which is effective immediately, states that Toronto, Ontario-based Blue Mountain will handle all sales and distribution of existing and future wallpaper collections. The move will convert the FSC Wallcoverings business to a licensing model.
According to the company, The Waverly/FSC division will retain and be actively involved in the creative content of the collections and the marketing communications for the key brands: Gramercy, Waverly and Village.
"We have experienced much success converting our operations to licensing programs in key categories, such as bedding and window treatments. A strategic partner in the wallpaper category further leverages our design and marketing capabilities," Dan Bonini, president and general manager Waverly/FSC division said.
Blue Mountain is the largest manufacturer and distributor of residential wallcoverings in North America, according to the company.
"The Waverly, Village and Gramercy brands will add strength to our product offering and will help us be a stronger partner with our retail customers. We look forward to the future as we team up with F. Schumacher & Co. in this new venture," said Christopher Wood, president, Blue Mountain Wallcoverings.
