Evteks 2002 Fuels Turkish Export

Istanbul Evteks 2002 (22-26 May), the world's second biggest home textile exhibition, was held in Istanbul's CNR Expo Center.
In an area covering 100,000 square meters, 8,500 foreign textile professionals milled through the aisles. According to the exhibition organizer, Istanbul Trade Fairs, the bulk of the visitors came from Germany, the United States, Russia, Israel, Greece, Japan, United Arab Emirates and Iran. 68,000 domestic professionals visited Evteks 2002, the organizer said.
"The fair, which gathered 410 leading sectoral companies has become the most important organization in Turkey and throughout all the region with its capacity, technology, trendy designs and export volume," said Tulin Bozkurt of ITF exhibitions.
Products on display included: curtain fabrics, embroidery, tull curtain, brode, upholstery, sheets accessories, modular furniture, beds, tablecloths and bathroom mats.
