Dolan Raises Prices Ten-Percent In Response to Rising Cost of Raw Materials

KELHEIM, Germany — Dolan GmbH, a producer of high-quality acrylic fibers, announces price increases of up to 10%, effective first quarter 2011. The increase is in response to the rising cost of raw materials and energy; the company saw the price of its primary raw material, acrylonitrile, go up by nearly 50% in 2010 and the trend is expected to continue into 2011. The price of natural gas also went up by approximately 40% in 2010.
Dolan is a producer of spun-dyed acrylic fibers for sun shades, car soft tops and outdoor furniture fabrics. The fiber is mainly used in construction materials and hot gas filtration under the brand name Dolanit®.
