KOTRYCK, BE—Trudy Vico Desmet, formerly chief designer and production manager of the Belgian mill Desalux, has started a new sourcing company called Elite Deco. She is working with ex Desalux agents in the USA, UK and France in order to provide continuity in the qualities Desalux had been producing, working with a number of Belgian weavers, including contract weavers.

Desalux, an important jacquard mill, has ceased doing business. Desalux under the hand of Germaine Desmet and his wife Gerda, was one of the
original exhibitors at MoOD and a member of Proposte. Trudy is the daughter of Germaine and Gerda.
