Degomes to "Semi Retire"

Vice president new business development Tony Degomes, is going to "semi-retire" from Quaker Fabrics Corporation.
"I'm making an arrangement with the company for semi-retirement," Degomes said. "I'll stay on as a consultant. Right now, we''re determining what duties I'm going to perform so the customers will know who to contact."
Degomes was one of the three founding partners of Quaker Fabrics along with Larry Liebenow and Duncan Whitehead. In a September 2001 story in Decosit Show Daily, it was reported that Degomes expected to build a new contract division for Quaker with $25 million in sales within five years. Degomes'' new status and his future relationship with the contract division is not yet known.
