Burch Fabrics Group Introduces First Propietary Printed Vinyl-Designed Fabric
June 29, 2010
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – Family-owned Burch Fabrics Group has introduced the Vitality collection, its first proprietary printed vinyl-designed fabric. In its 106-year existence, Burch has made a name for itself by offering progressive collections of Crypton, INCASE, and high performance seating with eco-friendly options of polyurethane and vinyl surface fabrics.
Combining simple aesthetics with superior cleanability, Vitality is offered in four variations – Unwind, Level, Balance, Refresh – that are finished with PermaBlok and Silverguard to protect against germs, abrasion, stains, and bacteria. Using the natural protection of silver, SilverGuard kills the growth of bacteria and mold according to the presence of moisture.
Unwind is arranged in overlapping circular forms, while Level uses a variety of metallic horizontal lines layered upon each other, and Balance has a grid system design with tonal variations to appear hand painted. Refresh, the collection’s foundation plain, has a soft fabric-like texture and saturated colors to balance the other patterns.
The collection has been mostly popular in the healthcare, hospitality and educational markets because the four options are also 1:4 bleach and water cleanable.
