Brunschwig & Fils Unveils Revamped Showroom in NYC

NEW YORK, New York — With much anticipation, Brunschwig & Fils’ largest showroom worldwide opened its renovated doors on the 12th floor of the Decoration and Design Building here.
The flagship showroom of this venerable textile company launched a new look as well as an expanded offering of services and products to meet the needs of the greater New York interior design community.
Brunschwig & Fils’s iconic plaid and bold red logo served as an inspiration for the new design, which was truly a collaborative effort by design dream-team comprised of Doug Garfinkle and Stephen Elrod of Brunschwig & Fils; renowned interior designer Michael Smith and the Montreal design firm ‘Atelier de L’Opera.’ The Family Kravet: Front row: Ray Burke, Ellen’s husband; Ellen Kravet, Cary Kravet and son Sander; Lisa, Cary’s wife. “The result is a showroom that respects its roots while forging ahead toward a broader future, and it’s one that reflects the elegance of classic French design with a bit of New York City edge.” According to a Kravet spokesman. With the completion of the showroom renovation, Brunschwig & Fils has also added a new selection of carpets and broadlooms from J.D. Staron to its existing assortment of exclusive products.
Brunschwig & Fils was founded in 1900 as a tapestry-weaving mill in Aubusson and Bohain, France. Since then, it has evolved into one of the industry’s most prestigious names in fabric and furnishings. The company, which was acquired by Kravet Inc. in 2011, is best known for its chic, colorful archival-based patterns and its legacy of iconic French design.
