Kennett Square, PA— Lori Briggs, an 11 year veteran fabrics buyer for the Calico retail chain left the company in November. Her departure was part of a management shake-up effected by Bert Kerstetter, the dynamic owner of the chain who has recently become active in day to day management of the business.

Calico was founded in 1948 and today is believed to be the largest retailer of home fabrics in North America, if not the world.

It is understood that Calico is currently interviewing for a replacement and the final choice should be known as early as January, 2013. In the meantime, Julie Morris, newly named vice president of merchandising is handling Briggs’ previous responsibilities.
Briggs’ plans are not known at this time.
