Brenna Leaves Burlington House
January 17, 2003
New York - Angelo Brenna, export manager, has left his post at Burlington House, a division of Burlington Industries Inc., after 35 years.
Brenna most recently reported to Daphne O'Brien, vice president, international sales.
He first joined Burlington in its Klopman apparel fabrics division in 1967, based in New Jersey.
In 1971, Brenna moved to the Klopman office in Paris where he called on garment manufacturers. He returned to the Burlington offices in New York in 1977 where he has been based ever since.
He had been active in the domestics - sheets and towels -business for Burlington House since 1985 and was most recently export manager for Burlington House ticking, upholstery and drapery. Burlington continues to produce ticking but the residential upholstery line was sold to Tietex International in early 2002.
Brenna said he hopes to continue working in some textile-related area of the export market. However, traveling is in his blood, he says. He is a native of Milan, Italy, speaks four languages and resides with his wife in New Jersey. F&FI
