Bravo Enzo degli Angiuoni and Lodetex!
January 24, 2005
COMO, Italy — Enzo degli Angiuoni SpA and Lodetex have been admitted, for the first time, to the Villa Erbe for Proposte, which will take place from May 11-13, 2005, here.
Both companies have shown at locations outside of the fair in previous years. Angiuoni has shown in various villas on Lake Como in prior years, and Lodetex, the sheer mill, at the Grand Hotel in Como.
Angiuoni and Lodetex are both based in Italy and are family run. Lodetex is owned by Mr. Fahranghi as well as his two sons Luca Fahranghi, in charge of sales/marketing and Nicola Fahranghi, who runs production. Davide Bonsignore is in charge of export sales. "This is a young, dynamic, streamlined company with state of the art looms and facilities," an industry source said.
In addition, Lodetex weaves Trevira CS® for contract as well as residential products in medium to high-end price points.
Lodetex also introduced Ingeo® fiber, a natural fiber created from corn husks, for those clients who are working with environmentally friendly products for various end usage. Products also include embroideries, with silk and linen, all in 300 cm. width.
In the last four years, (as previously reported), Enzo degli Angiuoni, the founder of Enzo Angiuoni, has said it invested €18 million in the renewal of its weaving mill both from an architectural and productive point of view.
"In fact all the looms were changed and substituted with brand new Dornier looms both for jacquard and dobby fabrics," Enzo previously stated.
"We were the first weaving mill in the world able to produce plissé jacquard fabrics." Enzo says that his role is to be "a personal tailor for all his customers."
In fact, he says that 60% of the worldwide production of the company is composed of exclusive patterns, structures and colors for his customers.
Congratulations to Luca Faranghi, principal of Lodetex. Congratulations also to Enzo, his wife Maria, and Enzo's son Roberto. Bravo to Proposte for the sensible new additions! (Please g-d, may it not rain again this year in Como during Proposte!)
