NIBONNO, IT--Pietro Bertarini 49, has unexpectedly resigned from Imatex according to informed sources.

He was with the firm for about 30 years and most recently acted as General Manager, a post he assumed since the passing  of Elio Fumagalli on December 30, 2005. 

Fumagalli one of the three original owners of Imatex, still one of the largest European mills today. Imatex is a family owned company with more than 50 years in manufacturing yarn dyed jacquard fabrics for upholstery and drapery.

It is understood that Bertarini will still be consulting for Imatex and will also pursue other freelance assignments in the textiles industry.
