March 22, 2011

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Michigan — Performance fabrics and cleaning products manufacturer Crypton has hired Alan A. Barr as its CFO and COO, effective immediately. He will replace David Littleson, who has left the company, and he will report to Craig and Randy Rubin, co-founders of Crypton.

"Alan is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of operating and corporate financial experience," said Randy. Prior to his hire, Barr was a financial advisor at Sitco & Co. He had also worked at Libraltar Plastics, holding titles including chief financial officer, vice president of manufacturing and president. He had also co-founded Applied Heater Technologies, a manufacturer of heat-related products. Barr is a graduate of Princeton University and later went on to receive his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
