Absecon Mills Goes 'Red' as well as 'Green'

December 7, 2006

COLOGNE, New Jersey -- Absecon Mills is following the lead of companies like Apple, Motorola, American Express, Armani, GAP and Converse in contributing to the buy (RED)™ campaign. A portion of the sale price for any of their fabrics with 'Red' in the name (and there are well over 60) will be donated to The Global Fund to buy medicine for women and children with AIDS.

The Global Fund is an innovative partnership of governments, non-profit organizations, and the private sector, working together to rid the world of AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria. Its sole purpose is to raise funds and make grants to countries, organizations and communities that urgently need financial help to allow them to respond to these epidemics. 100% of donations to The Global Fund go to life saving programs around the world fighting AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, with no portion being diverted for administrative costs by the United Nations Foundation.
